What to expect :
In our Beginners, Older & Wiser Classes, we take people with little or no experience of yoga and help them to move at their own pace towards asanas, or poses, that allow their bodies to gently begin to open up.
For students who have come to yoga at a later stage in their lives, we adapt, modify and alter poses in order to allow gentle, safe stretches, often based in a chair.
“Amanda has wonderful approach with us collectively and individually which inspires confidence and encourages self belief” K.S.
Many of our students in these classes have had serious accidents and injuries that continue to need rehabilitiation and adaptation.
We use bricks, blocks and straps to help us.
Don’t be put off by these pictures – we won’t be doing much of this on day one!
“You are a friendly, gentle and encouraging teacher and I have come away from each lesson feeling really enthused. I’m so glad I decided to sign up!” J.B. 20
We work at our own pace, easing out of poses whenever we need to rest.
Our Beginners are also Yoga Students who, while happy to use “vinyasa” flowing yoga techniques, also enjoy relishing an asana for a few moments.
“I thoroughly enjoyed myself and thought the teaching was excellent.” S.B. 59
