“Thanks for getting me into that headstand.. I am so proud!!” J.E. 55
What to expect ……
Dynamic Power Yoga for All Abilities Classes are open to everyone. Amanda’s teaching style is inclusive, so you will be able to see all “asanas”, or poses, clearly demonstrated first in their most basic form. You can practice for yourself, see what works for you and try building up to the more challenging variations when you feel ready to take your yoga a bit further.
“As an athlete I was unsure about yoga as I like to feel I’ve had a workout after exercise. This class is definitely a workout, gets you hot but also gives space for mental relaxation and stillness of mind and body. An escape from the distractions of daily life.” BB, 50
You will hear “working towards” a lot in class. This allows your body to open and release, strengthen and yield in its own good time. Yoga is a journey, not a destination!
Our All Abilities Classes are a faster tempo of class than Beginners Classes – with many asanas being linked together in a flowing “vinyasa” or sequence of movements. You will notice that this generates heat within your body, or “tapas” (not the Spanish tapas variety that is!) which helps open your body deeply without pulling muscles or tearing ligaments or tendons. The deeper you can open, the more you can release tension, stress, toxic build-up, pain and congestion.
“Amanda is a superb yoga teacher – she treats each person individually making everyone feel top of the class, regardless of ability” BB, 50
If you are looking for a style more akin to classical Hatha Yoga, we offer Yoga for Relaxation, Kashmir Yoga and Beginners, Older & Wiser Classes. There is always something for everyone with Herefordshire Yoga’s fantastic selection of classes.
