Ashtanga Yoga provides a formal, transferable yoga sequence that allows you to progress relatively quickly seeing differences from week to week.
Ashtanga Yoga was created in order to focus and channel the energies of young men in India – through sweat, concentration and challenge, their energies became more manageable. While we still offer the Ashtanga sequence, we also recognise that we are not all young hormonal teenage boys and as such make whatever necessary adaptations to keep our practice first and foremost safe, and injury free.
We do not support the obsessive, body beautiful at the expense of injury approach!
