Themes that are often explored in class include bravery, trust, co-operation, positive attitudes, calmness, strength of mind, self esteem, self trust, patience, perseverance and selflessness.
These themes are not taught as such but experienced.
They learn that not everything worth learning is easy. Something that they may have struggled with in year one, becomes easier in year two and is mastered in year three. They see that learning can take time, patience and perseverance. This feeds into real life. When faced with difficult situations or activities they know that they sometimes need more time and practice before they can master them.
